EPIC Conference 2025

EPIC Conference - 4th to 5th March 2025

This year, the theme for EPIC Conference 2025 is "Building a Resilient Future for Animal Health and Welfare: Data-Driven Innovation in Policy and Practice."

Each day will offer excellent opportunities to connect, learn, and share ideas about data-driven innovation (such as machine learning and artificial intelligence) and promote future thinking about applications to animal health and welfare.

 

Conference Details

John McIntyre Conference Centre, The University of Edinburgh, Pollock Halls, 18 Holyrood Park Rd, Edinburgh EH16 5AY

  • Day 1: Tuesday 4th March - 13.00 to 18.00 (Optional dinner to follow at 18.30)
  • Day 2: Wednesday 5th March - 9.00 to 16.30

 

Poster Submissions

If you would like to display a poster on 4th March for the "EPIC and Partner Poster Session: Data-driven Innovation for One Health," please submit a short abstract (250 words or less) to epic.scotland@ed.ac.uk by 3rd February. The abstract should summarise:

  • Title
  • Author(s)
  • Purpose
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Posters should present work that showcases how data-driven innovation (such as AI/machine learning) is used in your research across the Centres of Expertise, and/or in One Health and animal health/welfare contexts.

Posters displayed will be determined following the evaluation of abstracts by the conference organisers. Further details will be emailed to those selected. All authors will receive a confirmation by email no later than 7th February.
