Jane Grant

Project Manager

As EPIC Project Manager my role is to support the work of our scientists and ensure good communication both within EPIC and between EPIC and its stakeholders.

I have been at the University of Glasgow since 2010, most recently within the School of Social and Political Sciences as part of the School Finance Team. This involved working with Principal Investigators and the financial management of their projects.

Having originally studied Equine Science and Agriculture, I went on to work at Otley College in Suffolk (now Easton and Otley College) with young people employed in land-based industries. This took me all round East Anglia visiting students in the workplace.

I have also worked for Grants Veterinary Services, contracted by the Food Standards Agency, co-ordinating the work of Official Vets going into slaughterhouses. During my time with Grants, there were multiple disease outbreaks including H5N1 Avian Flu and FMD and I gained experience of managing the work of OVs under disease outbreak conditions.
