Carol Kyle
Social Scientist
With a background in farm animal reproduction and nutrition, I am a social science researcher at the James Hutton Institute, and have a personal interest in agriculture and the environment. I work with social and natural scientists to better understand livestock keepers' attitudes to biosecurity, and the data we gather helps inform Scottish Government policy and practices.
My work as part of EPIC focuses on diseases such as sheep scab, specifically among small-scale sheep keepers and crofters.
In my spare time I enjoy working with my horses, hillwalking, cycling and setting myself challenges - the most recent one involves trekking to Everest base camp!
